Nicotine-free
2025-08-20
By now I have been free of nicotine for a little more than a month. Quitting was... Surprisingly easy. I didn't experience really any of the withdrawal-symptoms that I expected. In the past I've had it way harder when I once had to go without it for a couple of hours when I ran out and had forgotten to buy a new batch.
While I didn't have that tough of a time with withdrawals, I do have a constant urge to have something in my mouth. As a result my snacking has increased but seeing as one can't eat constantly I have also relied heavily on chewing gum, as a kid I really liked gum, now as an adult I've come to realize I don't like it as much anymore.
The reason I quit is neither for my health nor my wallet, it's simply because I didn't like being addicted to something that ultimately felt so unnecessary.
So, to sum it all up; I'm a quitter.
