Pre-Skate.

Recently "Skate." released in early access, today it comes out on steam, I've intentionally waited because I can’t be bothered to mess with EA’s launcher. It’s probably one of my most played video game franchises. But now it’s been 15 years since the last entry I’m cautiously optimistic. From what I’ve seen the core gameplay looks to be nice so that’s good. Everything else looks honestly pretty turdish, from the predatory lootbox-filled freemium model to the sims-like visuals.
The skate franchise honestly means a lot to me. I used to skste, briefly, before I knew I was sick. When I became sicker and standing on my board was no longer an option the skate games came along to fill that spot. While I’m not nearly as interested in it now as I was then I still find it interesting in passing
I’m also a tiny bit afraid that my disease has progressed so much that I lack the fine-motor skills to play the game any more.
We’ll see I guess.
